By now, you’ve likely heard of Microblading, but what about Ombre Powder or Hairstrokes? Also, what’s the difference between these Permanent Makeup Procedures (PMU)? And which technique is best for you? At The Elite Brows, we’re always glad to walk you through deciding which procedure is right for your beauty goals and lifestyle!
One method isn’t better than the others because it all comes down to personal style, skin type, and coloring. Here’s everything you need to know about Microblading, Ombre Powder and Hairstrokes Brows to help you decide which session to book. One thing is for sure you’ll wake up every morning with flawless, fluffy brows without having to reach for brow powders, pomades, or pencils.
Microblading replaces sparse individual hairs for a very natural result. This brow technique uses pigment to create hyper-realistic hair-like strokes. The pigment is implanted into the skin manually using a hand-held tool during your brow session. The device is crafted of several tiny needles that add a semi-permanent pigment to the skin. The microblade goes deeper into the skin’s epidermis (upper layers) to help create a natural-looking effect.
Ombre Powder give the look of gradient shaded makeup that can be as subtle or as bold as you prefer. Ombre shading uses a small machine to position very thin dots of pigment into the skin to create a 100% customizable look. Brows look most like powder makeup – hence the name Powder Brows. With this method, the pigment isn’t placed as deep into the epidermis as Microblading, but it creates a more defined, solid look than microblading alone. Ombre Powder Brows can also cover old microblading, semi-permanent makeup, or cosmetic tattooing that has (somewhat) faded.
This is the lightest and wispiest of the techniques. Best for clients that don’t usually wear make up or are wanting a very natural look. Hairstrokes are created via digital microblading (machine made hairstrokes) and carefully placed to blend with any existing growth and follow your supra orbital ridge (the bony ridge above your eye) to give your brows a perfect, natural look. Each hairstroke creates density to fill in gaps, bald spots, thin or sparse patches on your eyebrows. HA
Microshading is the combination of microblading and shading which is done by a handheld tool and machine. This technique creates a hairstrokes of microblading look with soft poederedeffect. It will add density and more of a defined look.
We're all busy, and having a few extra minutes in the morning to get ready can make a world of difference. And that's why eyeliner tattoo are a pretty great option instead of fiddling with a gel liner and a brush. Eyeliner tattoo, also known as permanent eyeliner is definitely not a new treatment, but professionals have had years of practice to really perfect it.
Permanent Lips treatment allows to enhance the beauty of natural lips or correct asymmetry, add definition and fullness. The treatment is done with a high quality permanent makeup device and a 1-point needle, to create the soft shaded effect.
With the help of permanent makeup it is possible to de-emphasize age lines around lips and correct fading color of the lips that is always associated with aging. The color is customized for every client, therefore, you can be sure to achieve desired effect.
Microblading is a two session process, the first session takes approximately 2.5/3 hours, and the second is 1:30 hour. Depending on how the artist decides to do their pricing, the session is either included in the initial price or paid for separately in the second appointment. Both sessions are equally as important. In the first session, the whole eyebrow is shaped, mapped, and microbladed. The second session, which is approximately 5-6 weeks after the initial appointment, is also important for longevity of the eyebrow. After the first session, the eyebrow heals with approximately 85-95% of the initial work remaining. The second touch up is also called the “perfecting touch up” because it is used to fill in the last 5-15% of the eyebrows that did not take the pigment right away.
